The Belize Priority

test article

AWESOME! is the word and feeling that immediately come to mind and heart in review of week ONE of the World Missions Seminar at Faith North Little Rock! There is simply too much to adequately describe!

I appreciated Bro. Dr. Randy Cloud’s message of “If we are to be effective Christians we must rejoice in the Lord”
Using Philippians 1:12-14, he brought out the reminder to me that God brings us to certain circumstances in life to enable us in His service!

Paul said in Verse 12, “But I would ye should understand, brethren, that the things which happened unto me have fallen out rather unto the furtherance of the gospel;”

In 2 Corinthians 12 we read more about the struggles and circumstances of life, particularly those of the Apostle Paul. Clearly, as Paul taught and Brother Cloud stated, “We need to take our eyes off our circumstances and place them on Jesus.” Two more things that I thought were compelling and wonderful from this message:
First, there are two pieces of news, one good and one bad.
– The bad news: We’ve ALL sinned and fallen short of God’s Glory!!
– The Good News: Jesus Christ alone closed the gap!!!

So, what do we as Christians do about this gap? Well, Jesus commanded His Church to “GO” I loved the image that Dr. Cloud brought to my mind in the story recited about George Scott.

A one-legged school teacher by the name of George Scott came to J. Hudson
Taylor to offer himself for service in China. Taylor ask him: “With only one leg,
why do you think you can go as a missionary?” George Scott replied: “Because, I
do not see those with two legs going,” And he was accepted for mission to China.

I do not believe that the Lord calls all men and women to the mission field, but He certainly calls all of us to serve Him in carrying His Gospel around the world through His churches.

It is my prayer that we all do our part, whatever that may be, to FILL UP the Kingdom of Heaven with the souls of every man, woman, boy and girl!!  May we GO today and begin the work!

Just a quick post today to remind everyone how AMAZING our great God shows Himself to be! No matter what I think or do, He ALWAYS proves Himself faithful! I know, you’re reading this and thinking, “OK? I know that, and he wasted time to state such a simple fact.” But remember this when you wonder how today’s challenges are ever going to work out.
If you are a child of God today, he will work His perfect plan in your life no matter what! If you have not come before Him in repentance and placed your faith and trust in Jesus alone, well, then He still has a perfect plan for your life and it begins with the price He has already paid for your soul on the cross. Repent today and admit what and who you are without God and trust Jesus as your Savior, then hang on for the most AMAZING life you can not even imagine!
HAVE A GREAT DAY!!!

The last weekend of January found us in San Angelo, Texas at the Southwest Association Ladies Auxilary and Missions meeting.  We had a wonderful time visiting with a couple of my sisters and with brothers and sisters in Christ.  We heard great reports from Missionaries Leland Acker and Juan Gallegos.  Both are doing well.  The assembly collected a very nice offering.  We are so blessed and thankful for the opportunity they gave us to present the Lord’s work in Belize.  Sunday found us a bit farther west in Odessa.  We spent Sunday morning with Beacon BC and Sunday night at Westwood.  It was good to be with them and to answer the great questions from both the congregations and the students

We still need to fill our calendar!! Pass it on!!  February 4-7 takes us to Nevills Chapel BC at Mt. Pleasant, TX attending their Faith Promise conference.  Please remember us in your prayers as we continue our deputation.  I will be back on the field in March for a short time then out to the California State meeting.

Last week, while attending some deputation appointments, for which I am so thankful, Terese and I had an opportunity to spend some time with a very special person from my childhood.  Kyla Wilson Yeatman.  I remember as a young tween and a teen how she was such a wonderful big sister to me.  Laughing, getting into trouble (not bad stuff), letting me drive her car, and playing the piano like you’ve never heard! Kyla and Kenny opened their home to us and gathered around us with their hearts and their love!  Kyla, and her Mom, Jeanie and Dad, Ron spent hours patiently teaching me to sing in a quartet (Oh, and it took it all!), Into the early morning hours we would stand around the piano and wear out the pages of any book we could find.  During this recent visit, again we stood around her piano and the memories flooded back.  We sang some new songs and we sang some old ones, and the Lord, through a song reminded me that I am to lean on Him, and everyday I learn to trust Him more.

Thanks, Kyla and Kenny! Ya’ll are awesome!
